ABOUT NICK CELLINO OF BEST FRIEND DOG WALKER

In 2012, after a 20 year career in the travel industry, I realized that working at a computer station all day wasn’t the way I wanted to live the rest of my life so I decided to create a business working with dogs, my greatest passion. I followed the career advice, “Do you what you love and then find someone to pay you to do it” and have never looked back.

I started walking my friend’s dogs and expanded the business from there. I decided to name my business “Best Friend Dog Walker” to express my desire to become the best friend of each and every dog I walk and in almost every case, that’s been true. I love the smiling faces, wagging tails and excited howls of my “kids” when I arrive for their walks. I take a strong personal interest in all of my dogs who quickly bond with me and become family, so much so that I find it difficult to say good-bye at the end of the walk.

Why Best Friend Dog Walker is the best choice for your dog

From the very beginning, I wanted my service to be unique and different. Unlike the corporate dog walking businesses that employ numerous “bonded independent contractors” to walk dogs, I handle all the dog walking assignments myself.

I could make much more money hiring “subs” but I refuse to entrust my “kids” to strangers. I frequently see other dog walkers with 6 or 7 dogs but refuse to follow that example because of safety concerns and my personal desire to give each dog the best personal care possible.

Optional Canine Experiences

For a special canine treat, I love taking my dogs on canine excursions to nearby hiking trails, swimming holes and on occasion to my “secret” beaches in Malibu.

I’m a beach lover with collections of thousands of beach photographs from all over the world and have personally visited every beach from San Diego to Santa Barbara. I’ve also built and maintained several dozen local hiking trails and am familiar with most of the trails in the area.

My Favorite Breeds

I love all dog breeds but some are first among equals. Among my favorites are German Shepherd Dogs, Golden Retrievers, Samoyeds, Labrador Retrievers, Bulldogs, Pit Bulls, Poodles, Afghan Hounds, Australian Shepherds, Collies, Rottweilers, Great Danes, Great Pyrennes, Irish Setters, Pekingese, Corgis, Boxers, Vizslas and many mixed breeds.

However, I regret there are many breeds I have never worked with so no doubt my list would be much longer if I had experienced all 600 breeds worldwide.

My Experience

My keen canine understanding developed from 55 years of experience with dogs allows me to know the type of exercise that is best for your dog. Whatever breed or mixed breed is yours, he or she will love the time spent with me. Dogs crave the exercise and companionship I provide them.

Nothing makes them more happy than a romp with their new best friend. Each day your dog will arrive home happy, relaxed and contented, freeing you from the task of walking your dog at the end of a long work day.
